Wubi is an officially supported Ubuntu installer for Windows users that can bring you to the Linux world with a single click. If the answer to the above question is an "I'm not sure", then you may want to look at the following FREE program. It's from FileHippo and it's available here. It's quick and accurate for the programs it checks and does not use any resources until you call on it. Of course, you'll have to remember to use it. I check mine every day and I find it's invaluable for finding those items that have new updates. If an update is found, you can download directly from the FileHippo high speed server so no searching around for the correct one is required.. In addition, you can set the program to also check for "Beta" versions and even to show you the install path to where a particular program is located on your computer.
